Our specialized Environmental Health & Safety training programs are focused on environmental health and safety (EHS). Our courses are designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure the well-being of individuals and the environment in various industries.
Arc Flash Safety
This presents steps to reduce hazards due to arc flash events. It includes fundamental electrical concepts, hazards that can lead to threat of arc flashes, electrical industry safety standards, hazard control measures, and regulations for electrical and fire safety.
Confined Space - Awareness
This course reviews confined space hazards and ways to test for them. It also provides an understanding of permit versus non-permit confined spaces. Companies scheduling this class must provide in advance a copy of their written program for permit required confined spaces.
Confined Space - Entry Certification for General Industry or Construction
This course reviews confined space hazards and ways to test for them. It also provides an understanding of permit versus non-permit confined spaces. After reviewing typical positions allowed to enter a permit required space, participants practice entry into confined spaces and complete entrant, attendant or entry supervisor certification requirements. Companies scheduling this class must provide in advance a copy of their written program for permit required confined spaces. Their employees must also have a current first aid/CPR card. For construction companies, specific provisions and requirements for the construction industry and multi-employer worksites are included.
Hazardous Materials Awareness
This course covers hazardous materials regulations from OSHA’s, EPA’s and U.S.-DOT’s perspectives and your company’s. It also provides an understanding of chemical properties and chemistry including hazard assessment, toxicology, and safety data sheets.
HAZWOPER, 8-Hour Emergency Responder, Operations
This course meets the training requirements for Level 2 responders who respond to and assist in defensive actions to resolve a hazardous materials release. Participants learn their role in an incident and become familiar with the Emergency Response Guidebook.
HAZWOPER, 24-Hour Emergency Responder, Technician
This course meets the training requirements for Level 3 Technician response under the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 section Q. It includes 20 hours of lectures and exercises, and four hours of field work.
Prerequisite: Completion of HAZWOPER, 8-Hour Emergency Responder, Operations.
HAZWOPER, Emergency Responder, Incident Commander
Course meets the training requirements for Level 5 Incident Commander under the OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120 section Q. It involves lectures, exercises and field work and covers the same topics in 24-Hour Emergency Responder Technician course plus FEMA Incident Commander courses ICS 100 and ICS 200.
Prerequisite: Completion of HAZWOPER, 8-Hour Emergency Responder, Operations.
OSHA General Industry Outreach (OSHA 10)
This course builds foundational skills for recognizing and preventing worksite hazards. It covers common safety and health hazards, emphasizing hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.
Rigging
This course covers basic rigging practices including rigging plans and triangles, load control and hardware selection and inspection. It is appropriate for employees involved in rigging either frequently or occasionally.
