How Career Services Can Help

At FRCC Career Services, we'll help you explore careers, develop lifelong skills and cultivate the confidence to pursue meaningful career and transfer opportunities. Here are some of the ways we can help you:

  • Explore Careers. Meet with your career counselor to learn about careers that match your interests, skills values and personality. You'll also learn what you can do with your major.
  • Learn about Yourself. You can work with your career counselor to use a variety of assessment tools to help you uncover your interests, skillset, values and personality traits—and what matters most to you in your career journey. To start this process, schedule a major/career exploration appointment in Navigate.
  • Build Your Resume and Cover Letter. Our team of professional career counselors can help you craft your resume and cover letter materials to best present your skills and experience to prospective employees.
  • Practice Career Readiness Skills. We’ll help you practice important skills like job interview skills, LinkedIn Profile development skills, and learn more about core career readiness skills aligned with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
  • Get Real-World Experience. We're here to support you as you search for jobs, including on-campus, off-campus and internship opportunities. We utilize the Handshake Platform and partner with local/national businesses to help both students and alumni find opportunities that match their talents and passions.
  • Create Your Plan. Whether you're ready to enter the workforce—either part time or full time—or are ready transfer to a 4-year institution, we'll help you map out a plan.  To get a jumpstart on mapping out your plan, check out our Develop a Career Plan guide.
