English Placement Surveys

English Placement Prerequisites

  • English Composition II: ENG 1022.  Any of the following qualifies students to take ENG 1022:
    • Completion of prerequisite class(es) with a grade of C or higher
    • ACT score of 26 or higher (less than 5 years old).
    • SAT score of 620 or higher (less than 5 years old)
    • AP English Language and Composition score of 3 or higher
    • IB English A Language and Literature HL score of 4 or higher

Math Placement Surveys

Math Placement Prerequisites

  • College Trigonometry: MAT 1420
    Any of the following qualifies students to take MAT 1420  
    • Completion of prerequisite class(es) with a grade of C or higher  
    • ACT score of 25 or higher (less than 5 years old) 
    • SAT score of 620 or higher (less than 5 years old) 
    • IB Mathematics HL or SL Score of 4 or higher 
    • Accuplacer AAF score of 280 or higher 
  • Pre-Calculus: MAT 1440
    Any of the following qualifies students to take MAT 1440  
    • Completion of prerequisite class(es) with a grade of C or higher  
    • ACT score of 25 or higher (less than 5 years old) 
    • SAT score of 620 or higher (less than 5 years old) 
    • IB Mathematics HL or SL Score of 4 or higher 
    • Accuplacer AAF score of 280 or higher 
  • Calculus I: MAT 2410
    Any of the following qualifies students to take MAT 2410  
    • Completion of prerequisite class(es) with a grade of C or higher  
    • ACT score of 29 or higher (less than 5 years old) 
    • SAT score of 690 or higher (less than 5 years old) 
    • Accuplacer AAF score of 280 or higher followed by CCCS MAT 2410 Common Placement Test score of 14 or higher 

 Additional Assessments

For certain degree or certificate programs, students may also need to take an optional biology and/or chemistry assessment. Visit your program's webpage to find out your program's requirements.
