FRCC helps students from all over the world learn English. Our classes can help enter college classes, get a better job and feel more confident speaking English.
From beginner to advanced, FRCC offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for students at every level. Program highlights:
- Learn new words and phrases for school, work and everyday life.
- Learn how to speak clearly in class, meetings and at work.
- Improve your reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
- Meet other students and learn from experienced instructors.

ESL Classes
FRCC has beginner, intermediate and advanced classes to help you learn exactly what you need. Learn more about the classes below.
High-Beginner ESL
- Write a professional email to a co-worker or supervisor.
- Practice answering real questions for job interviews and school meetings.
- Build a written profile introducing yourself or a classmate.
Intermediate ESL
- Write a resume and practice job interview skills.
- Interview someone in your community and write their story.
- Learn how to handle real situations in English, from returning items to a store to solving problems with your landlord.
Advanced ESL
- Write clear essays that give information, explain facts or share your opinion.
- Share your ideas by speaking to groups, and use pictures or slides to show your ideas.
- Learn school skills like planning your ideas, taking notes and editing your work to become a better student.
