Our Associate of Science (AS) in computer science will prepare you to transfer to a four-year college or university as a junior. In this two-year program, you'll take general education and computer science courses. FRCC's classes will prepare you to excel at the next step of your educational journey. Our Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in programming will teach you programming languages and how to write and test code. It will prepare you for the job market in two years.
We also offer two certificate programs that you can finish in two semesters. Our programming certificate will teach you programming languages, computer information systems and computer science. The web developer certificate will teach you how to code and test websites for usability and stability.
FRCC provides flexibility and convenience as you learn. You can take classes online or in person at our three campus locations. Total Credits: 60 credits (2 years)
Find a career as an entry-level programmer with the AAS in Programming. In our hands-on courses, you'll study:
- Computer science and programming
- Programming languages such as C++, Java, C# and Python
- Database functions
- Computer information systems
- Networking
Please note: Although some of the courses may transfer to a four-year university, this degree program is designed for you to enter the workforce.

Total Credits: 24 credits (2 semesters)
Learn to become a web developer in one year at FRCC. You'll study web page design, web development techniques and computer information systems. You'll learn:
- PL/SQL
- Scripting languages including Javascript and PHP
- Adobe Photoshop
- HTML and DHTML
- Cascading stylesheets
- CGI forms
AS in Computer Science Transfer Options
By earning your AS in Computer Science you will be able to transfer to a four-year university to complete a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Regis University
FRCC is proud to have a transfer agreement with Regis University. If you graduate with an AS in Computer Science, you will be able to transfer your credits to Regis University. You will be able to graduate from Regis University with a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems.
