Wolf BookPack

In this Section

Wolf BookPack logoStarting this fall, FRCC students will get their textbooks and course materials through our Wolf BookPack program. This program takes the hassle out of getting your course materials, saving you both time and money.

Wolf BookPack simplifies the process of ordering course materials, ensuring you have access to all of your required course materials on or before the first day of class.

  • No need to figure out what materials are required for each class, then find them on your own. The bookstore will send you a customized email with all of your course materials listed.
  • You can save money too. Instead of having to buy all the textbooks for each course individually, you'll pay a flat fee that gives you access to all the course materials you need.
  • You get to decide how to get our books. Choose from in-store pickup (Larimer & Westminster bookstores), shipping or electronic delivery—all through a personalized concierge service. You can even choose to opt out of the program.

Questions?

We've put together a list of information to answer any questions you may have on the program.

How much will this cost?

Instead of paying for your books individually, Wolf BookPack charges a fee of $21 per credit hour.  As an example, for an average 3-4 credit course, the cost would be $63-$84.

How do I enroll?

You are automatically enrolled in the Wolf BookPack program when you register for your classes.

Can I opt out?

Any student can opt out of the program and not have the fee charged, then purchase their books à la carte from the bookstore or elsewhere.

Students will confirm their courses and delivery method OR opt out of the program. Students also have the option to opt back in if they discover that it would cost more to purchase the items individually.

How will I get my books?

You get to decide how your books and materials are delivered. Wolf BookPack allows our bookstores to provide all physical and digital materials via in-store pickup, shipping or electronic delivery—all through a personalized concierge service.

Please note: Students at our Boulder County Campus will have three options: pick up at our Westminster or Larimer Campus bookstores; have their materials shipped to them; or take electronic delivery.

If you confirm your participation in the Wolf BookPack program, the bookstore will then gather the required materials for you and have them ready for pickup or shipping depending on your preference.

What materials are included?

The program provides all required textbooks, eTextbooks, lab manuals and access codes to eligible students.

What materials are not included?

The program does not include consumable course supplies that cannot be returned and reused such as lab goggles, dissection kits, molecular model kits, engineering kits or nursing kits. Excluded items can be purchased separately at our bookstores.

Am I purchasing or renting my books?

All books are provided on a rental basis. At the end of the term, you'll receive email reminders to return rented physical course materials to the bookstore.

Will my financial aid award or grant cover these charges?

The Wolf BookPack program will be charged to your student bill. If you receive a financial aid award, it can go towards covering these charges.

When are my textbook rentals due back to the bookstore?

The deadline to return all rental textbooks is the last day of finals. You will receive email reminders about the rental deadline at your FRCC email address.

Do I need to return books for a continuation course?

Yes, you will still be required to return continuation course textbooks. You will be issued the same title for the next semester of the continuation course.

Can I buy my rented textbook?

Yes, the program provides you with the option to purchase textbooks at a reduced rate during the return period.

What if I drop a class?

If course materials have been picked up or delivered for the dropped class, those materials should be returned to the bookstore within 48 hours.

If you drop a class and enroll in a different class, the bookstore will “swap” the required course materials so that you have what you need.

What happens if I never verify my order?

You will receive email notifications from the bookstore reminding you to verify your order and choose your fulfillment preference. If you do not opt out, your materials will be held at the bookstore and your student account will be charged.

If I never pick up my books, will I still get charged?

Yes, if you do not opt out, your materials will be held at the bookstore and your student account will be charged.
