COVID Self-Guidance Procedure Q & A
Do I need to submit a COVID self-report form if I test positive for COVID-19?
What additional steps do I have to take as a student worker?
Please check the Intranet for COVID guidance for employees.
What if I am in online and/or remote classes?
Continue your online and remote classes as usual if you feel well enough to participate. If you do not feel well enough to participate, please notify your instructors.
Do I need to inform my instructor if I am absent from class due to COVID?
You will need to contact your instructors and let them know that you will be unable to attend classes while you isolate. You must use your official Front Range Community College issued email when reaching out to them. Since submitting positive COVID report forms to the college is no longer mandatory, please understand that it is your responsibility to notify your instructors.
Here is an example of what you might write or say to your instructor:
Due to health and safety protocols, I’m isolating myself and will not be able to report to campus until (calculated return date). Can we schedule a phone call or virtual meeting to discuss the work I will be missing?
Do I need to test negative to return to campus?
You only need to isolate for the 5-day period.
What if I don't feel well enough to return after the 5-day isolation period?
Do not return to campus and notify your instructors immediately to discuss a return plan. If you are not able to catch up on missed work, please contact an academic advisor to discuss options available to you.
