Larimer Campus Director
Megan is the director of Disability Support Services at the Larimer campus and absolutely loves working at FRCC! She earned her master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State University (CSU) in 2013 and is currently working toward her PhD in Occupation and Rehabilitation Science from CSU, where she is studying the supported education program that the DSS team started at the Larimer campus. She has almost 10 years of experience supporting students with disabilities in higher education at CSU and FRCC. She is passionate about helping others reach their educational and employment goals by removing barriers, advocating for inclusion, and providing holistic supports to students with disabilities to help them thrive. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two kids, and dogs, and she loves to hike, paddleboard, and listen to live music. She also volunteers for a nonprofit called Drink for Pink, which partners with Colorado-based breweries to raise money for breast cancer research in Colorado.
Sara Freeman is a Coordinator with Disability Support Services at Front Range Community College, Larimer Campus, having worked in this position since February 2020. Prior to this, she worked at Colorado State University for 7 years supporting students and community members with disabilities. She has worked with people with disabilities in various capacities for nearly 13 years and has found a love for supporting this population in a higher education environment. She is a Colorado Native, originally from Colorado Springs, but has lived in Fort Collins for 20 years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two kids and husband, running, biking, playing music, going to concerts, and experiencing all Fort Collins has to offer!
My name is Shea McCowen and I am a licensed occupational therapist and Disability Support Services coordinator at the Larimer Campus. Prior to FRCC, I worked at Colorado State University (CSU) supporting students and Fort Collins community members with their educational and vocational goals. I have received my Master of Occupational Therapy from CSU and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Women's Studies from Iowa State University. I believe it is critical we foster an inclusive environment for all students on our physical and virtual campuses. I hope to ensure students with disabilities feel welcomed, prepared, and supported during their time at FRCC. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, yoga, and spoiling my cat, Prince.
