All students entering the EMT program at any FRCC campus must:
- Be 18 years old
- Pass a background check
- Pass drug screen
- Provide documentation of immunizations
- Have a high school diploma or GED
- Assessment placing students into ENG 093 or above

Boulder County Campus
Required Immunizations
All immunizations need to be current throughout the program.
- TB Test (valid for one year and must remain current throughout the program)
- Tdap (within 10 years)
- Hepatitis B Series (three shots) or proof of immunity via a titer
- Measles, Mumps Rubella a.k.a. MMR (two shots or proof of immunity via a titer)
- Varicella a.k.a. Chickenpox (two shots or proof of immunity via a titer)
- Seasonal influenza vaccine October - May
- COVID-19 vaccine series
Students must also have Professional Rescuer CPR Certification (Red Cross) - or - BLS for Health Care Providers Certification (American Heart Association)

Larimer Campus
Required Immunizations
All immunizations need to be current throughout the program. Allied Health students who are in programs that have a clinical rotation requirement must have proof of the following to go to their clinical site:
- TB Test (valid for one year and must remain current throughout the program)
- Tdap (within 10 years)
- Hepatitis B Series (three shots) or proof of immunity via a titer
- Measles, Mumps Rubella (MMR, two shots or proof of immunity via a titer)
- 2 Varicella a.k.a. Chickenpox (proof of vaccination, immunity via a titer or MD documented disease)
- Seasonal influenza vaccine October - March
- COVID-19 vaccine series, recommended, not required

Additional Requirements
- American Heart Association BLS Provider CPR cards (must be current throughout the program). See accepted CPR & ACLS cards. Student can take HPR102 offered at Front Range Community College to fulfill this requirement before entering clinical rotations.
- Passing a 10-Panel background check and drug test through FRCC will also be required.
Information Meetings
You can start the EMT program in the fall or spring semester. Attend an information meeting to obtain an program packet required for all incoming students. Meetings (on Zoom) are hosted from 6 to 7:30 pm on the second Wednesday of each month.
