Why Study Hospitality at Front Range Community College?

The hospitality industry needs experienced workers more than ever. At FRCC, we have three degree and certificate options to help you jumpstart your career.

Our Associate of Applied Sciences (AAS) degree will prepare you to enter the workforce. You'll learn about the hospitality industry and complete an internship for hands-on experience. Our Associate of Arts (AA) degree will help you transfer to a four-year university to earn your bachelor's degree in hospitality management. Finally, our certificate program will have you job-ready in just one semester.

You'll be able to build your career in a way that's flexible and convenient. The program courses may be offered online, remote Zoom formats, or at the Larimer campus.

Degree Options

AAS in Hotel & Event Management

Program Locations: Online

Total Credits: 60 credits (4 semesters)

Learn the skills you need to start a career in the hotel and event planning industries. You take courses such as:

  • Food safety and sanitation
  • Hotel operations
  • Hotel and restaurant accounting
  • Planning for special events

You'll also participate in a hospitality internship to put your classroom learning into practice and you'll be qualified to receive ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification.

Begin your journey to a bachelor's degree in hospitality management at FRCC. Our two-year AA degree will give you a foundation into the hospitality and event industry.

Fundamentals of Hospitality

Program Locations: Online

Total Credits: 16 credits (1 semester)

Learn hospitality and event industry basics in just one semester. You'll learn about the job opportunities in the hospitality sector. You'll also study food safety, hotel operations and more. With your courses, you'll qualify to take the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager Certification exam.

Transfer Options

AA in Hospitality Management

If you're planning to complete your bachelor's degree in hospitality management, you can kickstart your education at FRCC. Our AA degree in hospitality management will smoothly transfer to Colorado State University through an articulation agreement.
