Concurrent Enrollment Options

There are several ways to take Concurrent Enrollment classes at FRCC. Below are the programs we offer:

High School Select

High School Select classes are taught at your local high school for college credit.

Classes are taught by either FRCC-approved high school instructors or FRCC instructors who travel to the high school. Tuition is covered by the school district, but you may be responsible for textbooks and fees.   Learn more about High School Select.

Campus Select

Take college courses for both high school and college credit at a FRCC campus. Tuition is covered by the school district, but you may be responsible for textbooks and fees.

  • Campus Select Orientation
    • If this is your first time taking Campus Select courses (in-person, online, real-time remote or hybrid), please complete our online Campus Select Orientation.
      Online Campus Select Orientation
    • Once you complete the orientation, you will receive two emails to your personal email account on file.

      • The first will be an automated message notifying you that your orientation submission has been received and will have some student resources available to you at Front Range.
      • The second email will notify you that you can register for classes* and will contain details about Campus Select courses and registration.
        • Anticipate 2 to 3 business days for orientation processing. Be sure to factor this into your timing when trying to register for classes!

*Please note that you will not be able to register for classes until all account holds have been lifted.

  • Underage Admission Waiver (students under 17)
    • Students under 17 years old at the start of their first Campus Select semester will need to complete the Underage Admission Waiver and the underage enrollment process with FRCC. Please call Boulder County Concurrent Enrollment at 303-678-3820 or talk to your high school counselor for more information about this process.

ASCENT

The ASCENT (Accelerating Students through Concurrent EnrollmeNT) program is a fifth-year program where approved students take an additional year of college classes after their 12th grade year.  Students are approved for the ASCENT program through their school district and must talk to their high school/district for consideration in to the program. Tuition is covered by the school district, but students may be responsible for textbooks and fees.
