Attend Commencement

Attendance is optional: Commencement is in May at the end of spring semester. Students who graduate during summer, fall and *spring semesters are invited to participate in Commencement and a reception. Update your contact information (mailing address, telephone number and e-mail address) in your student account, so that the college can get important information to you. Commencement information will be sent via email or standard mail to all students who have applied for graduation.

*Spring Graduation Applicants:

Commencement information will be sent to all students who have applied for graduation via email or standard mail so plans can be made to participate in Commencement. Please understand that during the spring term graduation applications will be under review. Applicants will be notified of approval or disapproval approximately the first week of April contingent upon successful completion of current enrollment during spring semester (if applicable).

What is Commencement?

It is the ceremony in which your degree and/or certificate is conferred at the end of the academic year. Caps and gowns are worn by students, and after all degrees and certificates have been conferred as a symbol of completing their academic requirements students move the tassels on their caps from right to left. Please note that diplomas are not handed out during Commencement. They are mailed to the address on your graduation application six to eight weeks after the end of the semester.

Commencement Ceremony:
Receive diploma(s)
