ExemptionsStudents who meet the required criteria listed below may be exempt from taking all or part of the assessment:
- Possess an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science Degree or higher from a regionally accredited college or university. NOTE: Associate of Applied Science or Associate of General Studies degrees do not qualify for this exemption.
- Completed college freshman English composition and/or college algebra with a grade of "C-" or better at a regionally accredited post-secondary institution.
- Achieve ACT scores of English (18), mathematics (19**), reading (17) or SAT scores of verbal (440), mathematics (460). - Enrollment in selected programs of one term or less for persons 20 years and older.

How to request an exemptionTo request an exemption, students must bring the appropriate documentation (college transcripts, ACT/SAT scores, or Accuplacer resports) to your campus. See below for more information. - Boulder County: Provide documentation to Advising, located in the Administration Building on campus.
- Larimer: Provide documentation to the Testing Center, located in Mount Antero on campus or fax to 970-204-8122. In your fax cover sheet, please include your full name, student ID# and a phone number where you can be reached.
- Westminster: Provide documentation to Advising, located in the Student Development Center on campus.
