The Institute staff works with independent trainers and consultants, as well as FRCC faculty, to provide education, training or consulting services, which include:
- Identifying Client Needs: We help clients identify their needs and objectives through informal discussions or through the more formal processes of Organizational Analysis and Training Needs Assessment.
- Customized Training: When a client's objectives can be met through training, we develop and deliver a program customized to the needs of the company and its employees. Customizing includes attention to content, format, scheduling, credit and non-credit offerings, and location of training.
- Organizational Consulting Services: When analysis reveals that a client has an organizational rather than a training issue, BIT organizational development consultants work with clients in areas such as strategic planning, team building, systems and process design.
- Credit Classes: Business and Industry training may include credit classes, on-site or on the FRCC Larimer Campus, at times convenient to clients and their employees.

Training Grants
The Front Range Community College Institute for Community and Professional Development works closely with the Community Colleges of Colorado and the Office of Economic Development and International Trade to assist local companies in obtaining training grant funds for newly hired and existing workers. Two programs are available for training assistance:
Colorado FIRST Customized Training Program
The Colorado FIRST Customized Training Program provides funding for training the new employees of companies that are moving in to Colorado or undergoing a major workforce expansion.
Colorado Existing Industry Training Program
The Colorado Existing Industry Training Program assists companies affected by major technological change. Funding is provided for retraining workers in the new skills mandated by that change, allowing the company to compete in the global marketplace.
